1 month

one month ago we brought rosie home. number 4. bringing a lot of joy and a fast reminder that there is a big difference between 5 years old and 2 years old.

people have settled.  roles have changed. toys have been shared, and food and water bottles and bathtubs.  hands have been held and people have helped each other.  it works.

bryn has become a really great big brother- i knew it was in him.
this is bryn's drawing of 'art dog'

he's very proud- it's pretty fabulous. i love it. i love him.

jude has become an even older seven year old than he was last month.
he even learned to ride a bike this month.

zoe, she has returned.
she is so very excited about joining her brothers at ambrosoli international school.  she is so very done with home schooling.

and rosie- she's pretty fabulous too.  she's learned a lot of english.  she's learned to stop shrugging her shoulders when she's upset.  she's now eating green vegetables (in small doses) and she rocks out to 'sly and the family stone'.
we love her.

what a great month of blessing!  we are walking in thanks. we are appreciating the joys.  and we are praying daily for those who are in the darker places, because we've been there too.  the goodness is more vivid after having seasons of great challenge, even the colors of 'normal' are brighter, so hang in- it will come- really- it will come.

I love the last line of your post - "the goodness is more vivid after having seasons of great challenge..." It really resonates with me, especially with the recent hurdles that have come my way. But eventually it clears and you realize you're stronger and more capable than you initially thought. And that's when the goodness shines. Thanks for sharing your story!
