One side of the sea

Driving over furry hills and jagged mountains beside the ocean with breathy wild flowers and peeling eucalyptus and every once in a while, a palm tree. Almost to santa barbra. The warm sun has been following us all week, it's now getting ready to hide behind this ocean and show up on the other side of the world. The other side where someone infamous was just found and killed. What a strange thing- rejoicing over a death- even his death- it's just strange. And it makes me wish the world was not as it is. And how wild that part of the world sleeps while part is waking. This great, misaligned spinning world.

It's late now - i'm gently rocking on a boat. I can hear sea lions in the water - the stars are way up at the top of the sky avoiding the rim of city lights- it's beautiful.

Good night.
