4 weeks from right now we'll be on that plane.
no more packing- and selling things- and buying supplies- no more night-time-wide-awake-list- making nights. no more talking about what we have to do before we go. no more 'this is the last time i'll eat this food in this restaurant' or 'this is the last time i'll see this person for a while'.
we'll just be on that plane- ready to begin again.
today we sent off a check for the car we're buying in uganda. we got an email back saying 'your kids will love the sunroof, it's great for looking out of to see the animals on safari- you will love it here.'
i got that wiggling feeling in my chest- that antsy excitement. i began to remember that far off stirring in my heart- the tea fields- the peppery wood smell of carved animal sculptures- the bumpy roads- peoples beautiful smiles, bougainvillea, and the sounds of the birds in the morning.
it will be hard to leave- it will be sad.
but i'm ready- stirred and ready.
