i love that when the trees shake i can't tell if it's the wind, or monkeys.
and that the air is cool when the clouds roll in.
and that the birds are bigger here and the leaves are bigger and the flowers.
but the sounds are softer- the sweeping of a broom, the chopping of a machete, feet walking a path.
i love that my kids can roam and return. that i can hear their stories at dinner for the first time, and know they are having their own adventures.
i love the sound of the hard rain on the tin roof- even though it's loud.
i love that so far way, i can still feel so close.
good night other side of the world.

Good night, friends!
Xo brew crew
i love that i get to read all about this. i love that you are loving this new life. i love these pictures of your boys. i love the happiness in your face. i love wondering whether it was zoe snapping those pictures or mike, and imagining their faces on the other side when pushing the button. most of all, i love the joy in the faces of your children. it represents all of the malleability of children and all that is okay in this world. even when you move to the other side of it.
xo, k.
When I came home from South Africa I'll never forget the time I freaked out and tried to hurry and shut the windows because I thought the monkeys were going ot get in.... it was definitely just the wind.
I love the happiness in these photos and I am so glad you are letting the joyous parts of Africa sweep you up. :)
